Frequently asked questions

Thank you very much for your interest in my work. I mostly receive the same few questions so hopefully this page will assist.

How can I purchase a knife?

I often have a short waiting list as I can only produce a limited amount of work. If you don't see something on my shop page, please message me personally through my contact form or Instagram with the style of knife you are looking for “Chef knife, paring knife, butcher etc.”  When I complete a knife that meets the description, I send details and photos of the knife with an offer to purchase. If you decide to pass, the knife will be offered to the next person on the list. 

May I visit your shop?

Unfortunately I do not typically open my shop to visitors. I work from a small space that does not have a storefront. Since it is an extension of my home, having visitors in the past has felt disruptive and invasive although I totally understand why you’d want to see the wizards workshop and hangout. I only get a fixed amount of time in the shop and I like to make the most of it. I can assure you that most of what I do is stand over a belt grinder while wearing a cumbersome amount of protective equipment and make a shocking amount of dust. May I have a free knife?

No. I think you're awesome but please be mindful that I do get these requests on occasion from chefs, influencers and food stylists. I am a creative individual, not a factory. Sometimes I donate work for fundraising and charitable causes, it’s best to follow my Instagram to keep up with that stuff.

Can I custom order a knife?

No. My process does not lend itself to requests but there are lots of great makers who will do that for you.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, please submit a contact form to discuss alternative shipping options from what is offered on my site. 

Do you teach classes?

At the moment, no. One day I may consider offering this service but for the time being I do not have the facilities.
