This is a truly one of a kind piece of functional art. This chef knife is made of 16 layers of 1084/15N20 Damascus, ground to be a thin blade. It features a hand buffed satin finish.
The handle is made from gaboon ebony and the spacer is made from layers of brass and fine silver which have been welded together, known as mokume gane.
The saya (carrying case) for this blade is made from matching gaboon ebony and is friction fit with interior leather pads to prevent scratching during use. It also features a retention pin made from brass, forged fine silver and jade which has been mined in Canada.
